DMCA Policy

This page contains placeholder legal content for a development/demo project. It is a template only, not legal advice, and must be reviewed and approved by a qualified lawyer before any real-world use.
1. Overview
MediaLen.tv respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can submit takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), and how affected users can submit a counter-notice.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our Designated Agent that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it within the Service.
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
3. Where to Send Notices
Send DMCA takedown notices to our Designated Agent:
- Agent: MediaLen.tv Copyright Agent
- Email: dmca@medialen.tv
Incomplete notices may not receive a response. We recommend consulting the full text of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) or a qualified attorney when preparing a notice.
4. Counter-Notification Procedure
If material you posted or made available was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the United States, an appropriate judicial district), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original takedown notice.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may reinstate the material after the timeframe required by law, unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringer.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
Accounts associated with repeated, valid copyright infringement claims may be suspended or terminated at our discretion.
6. False Claims Warning
Submitting a false takedown notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under applicable law.
